We, the undersigned, urge you to oppose any plan by the Trump Administration to open up Florida's coasts to oil drilling.
Offshore drilling is the slowest, dirtiest and most expensive way to generate energy. Opening our Gulf and Atlantic coasts to oil drilling would threaten our beaches with pollution and oil spills, fuel destructive climate change, and forever harm our economy that is undeniably dependent on a clean, healthy coastline.
We believe there's a much better way. Energy conservation and efficiency, coupled with clean renewable energy like solar and wind power will save consumers and businesses money today and protect our coastal waters, beaches, and economy for tomorrow.
